Commitment to Participation:

Participants agree to attend KOTA on the specified dates and fulfill any agreed-upon responsibilities (e.g., performances, workshops, or vending).

Cancellations must be communicated in writing as soon as possible.

Performers unable to attend are responsible for securing a substitute, subject to approval by the KOTA team.
Conduct:

All participants are expected to act professionally, respectfully, and in alignment with KOTA’s mission to foster creativity, community, and inclusivity.

Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the event without refund or compensation.
Adherence to Guidelines:

Participants must comply with all event-specific guidelines, including safety protocols, setup/tear-down procedures, and arrival times.
Media Release Agreement
Consent to Media Use:

By participating in KOTA, participants grant the organizers permission to capture photographs, videos, and audio recordings of their performances, workshops, or booths during the event.
Usage of Media:

KOTA reserves the right to use any captured content for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes, including but not limited to social media, websites, printed materials, and advertisements.

Participants waive any rights to royalties or compensation for the use of their likeness in these materials.
Opt-Out Requests:

If a participant does not wish to be included in promotional materials, they must notify the KOTA team in writing prior to the event.
Safety and Liability
Health and Safety Compliance:

Participants agree to follow all health and safety protocols outlined by KOTA, including fire safety measures for flow artists and performers.
Assumption of Risk:

Participants acknowledge that attending and participating in a festival involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical activity, outdoor conditions, and use of equipment.

KOTA is not responsible for personal injury, property damage, or loss during the event.
Insurance:

Vendors and performers are responsible for securing their own liability insurance if required by their activities.
Intellectual Property
Content Ownership:

Participants retain ownership of their intellectual property (e.g., artwork, music, products).

KOTA will credit participants where applicable in promotional content.
Permission for Branding:

Participants may use KOTA’s official logos and branding in their promotional materials with prior written approval.
Cancellation Policy
Event Cancellation:

In the event of unforeseen circumstances resulting in KOTA’s cancellation, participants will be notified immediately, and a resolution plan will be shared.
Participant Cancellation:

Participants who fail to show up without prior notice may be ineligible for future KOTA events.
